SendPro Enterprise version 8.51.0 Release Notes (May 18, 2022)

Note: Some changes affect all SendPro Enterprise users, while other changes affect licensed users only. If you are a subscriber, your SendPro Enterprise is hosted in the Pitney Bowes cloud with the address https://name.sendproenterprise.com, where "name" is your organization's unique value. If you are a licensed user, your SendPro Enterprise is not hosted in the Pitney Bowes cloud.

Breaking Changes

The following breaking changes have been identified in this release:

Custom Label Generator. Label Request Variables Deprecated.

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

Systems having labels developed using the Custom Label Generator will need to be re-worked to be compatible with the changes.

Headline Enhancements

The following headline enhancements have been implemented in SendPro Enterprise:

App Settings. Added support for Get Recent Recipients For Current User setting.

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

When enabled, the 'Get Recent Recipients For Current User' setting allows users to view their recent recipients. It is set to False by default. In addition, Ship Requisition logic has been improved to ensure that recent recipients from commercial shipments no longer display in the Recent Recipients list.

Administration App. Improvements to Default App functionality.

Affects licensed SendPro Enterprise users only.

Added support for the following improvements:

• A Default App can now be assigned to a profile in the Administration App
• Users that do not have a Default App specified against their user account, but where their profile does have a Default App specified, will be automatically navigated to their profile's Default App at login.
• For standard users, Default Apps (user and/or profile) will now appear in the My Apps snippet and in the Applications List in the admin area.

Carrier Changes

The following carrier changes have been implemented for SendPro Enterprise:

Spee-Dee. Updated Label format in line with carrier requirements.

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

The label used when shipping with Spee-Dee has been updated in line with requirements set by the carrier. For more detail, see Spee-Dee Label.

Outputs. Updated PB Shipping API Customs Form 2976.

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

The PB Shipping API Customs Form 2976 document has been updated to support ZPL format.

FedEx Web Services. Outputs.

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

Resolved issue with hazardous item description display on the OP-900 document. The hazardous item description on the FedEx Ground Hazardous Materials OP-900 document now displays correctly.

UPS API. Resolved issue with Address Validation logic.

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

When shipping with UPS API, Address Validation now functions as expected.

WTG Parcel. Fixed issue with International Defaults.

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

International Defaults are now correctly assigned when onboarding WTG Parcel carrier.

UPS Freight API. Outputs.

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

Added support for Zebra format. Added support for printing labels with Zebra (ZPL)format with UPS Freight API shipments.

UPS Consolidated. Improvements to Bill Payer functionality.

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

The Consignee Account detail is now passed where duties/taxes are to be billed to the recipient.

RR Donnelley (ePost). Outputs.

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

Updated RRD Upload Template file. The RRD Upload Template file has been updated to add the harmonized code to each line at column 25 in line with carrier changes.

Other Changes

The following other changes have been implemented in SendPro Enterprise:

Data Management App. Various improvements.

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

A status window displaying the status In Progress has been added for Imports/Exports. In addition, fixed an issue whereby the Edit Template window would not load for SFTP passwords that included certain special characters.

Personal Shipping App. Updates to address display on Summary Screen.

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

Updated the way that addresses display on the Summary Screen so that address details on different lines will no longer overlap and will display in full. If an address is too long it is clipped and an ellipsis will display. When the user hovers over the ellipsis the address will display in full.

WTG Parcel. Resolved issue with International Defaults not being assigned correctly.

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

International Defaults are now assigned to a default User as expected.

UPS Consolidated. Added support for Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) thermal labels.

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

When shipping with UPS Consolidated Premier Service Silver. Two new printer models: Generic Zebra (203 DPI) and Generic Zebra (300 DPI) have been added to support compatible RFID thermal printers.

SendPro Enterprise Setup. Resolved various issues.

Affects licensed SendPro Enterprise users only.

The following has been resolved:

• An issue whereby the IdP Client IDs were being encrypted twice.
• Fixed an issue with the License Update that was causing errors at the end of every update.

EDI Message Processor Task. Improved 214 Message handling.

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

214 Messages are now processed correctly using the EDI Message Processor task. Previously, messages that were processed would not be deleted from the queue causing errors. This has now been resolved.

UPS API. Updated the Pierbridge Ship Request to add support for EEI filings option.

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

The UPS API Pierbridge Ship Request.xslt has been amended to support the population of the EEIFilingOption block in the Shipment Confirm Carrier Request for international shipments.

Carriers. Fixed issue with Carrier Tracking Portal.

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

Resolved issue whereby a carrier link was disabled for some carriers. This now functions as expected for all carriers.

Shipping Apps. Resolved issue with Rateshop functionality.

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

Resolved issue whereby the package type was not updated when the rate was selected in the Rateshop. Selecting a rate now updates the package type as expected.

Shipping Apps. Updated PRO number functionality.

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

A user can now enter a PRO number after rating without the need to re-rate before shipping. After rating with a freight carrier the following fields will no longer invalidate the previously returned rate:

• PRO Number
• BOL Number
• Description
• Package Notes

UPS API. Fixed rating issues.

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

Rating with UPS API is only successful with a valid address. If an invalid address is used, an error will now be displayed to the user. Previously, rating with an invalid address would result in a successful shipment.
