The weight is stuck at 1.0 gram on the SendPro Mailstation

Issue

The device displays the default weight of 1.0 gram when you place a heavier letter on the scale.

Cause

There is an internal error.

Resolution

• Ensure there are no other devices plugged into the device's USB ports.
• Check there is nothing placed near the device that could cause vibrations, such as a fan blowing air.

Try these solutions in order:

• Solution 1: Zero the scale
• Solution 2: Connect the scale to a different USB port
• Solution 3: Restart the device
• Solution 4: Hard reboot the device

Solution 1: Zero the scale

1. Remove any items from the scale.
2. Tap Weight.
3. Tap Zero Scale.
4. Tap the back arrow.
5. Weigh the mail piece again.

If the issue is not resolved, proceed to solution 2.

Solution 2: Try connecting the scale to a different USB port

If the issue is not resolved, proceed to solution 3.

Solution 3: Restart the device

1. Disconnect the USB scale.
2. Hold the power button until the screen displays Shutting Down.
3. Once the device is off, wait 5 seconds.
4. Tap the power button.

If the issue is not resolved, proceed to solution 4.

Solution 4: Hard-reboot the device

1. Disconnect the power cord from the back of the machine.
2. Wait ten seconds.
3. Plug the cord back in firmly.
4. Tap the power button.
