FedEx Home Delivery also delivers on weekends*, and as late as 8 p.m. Overnight service comes with a choice of delivery times – before 9:30 a.m., before 10:30 a.m., or by 3 p.m. – on weekdays.

Who is FedEx?
FedEx, founded in 1973 as Federal Express Corp., is a global shipping and delivery company known for pioneering overnight service in the U.S. and expanding to become the world's largest cargo airline, connecting 99% of the world's GDP with over 16 million daily deliveries to 220+ countries and territories.
How does FedEx ship packages?
Offering a vast variety of shipping services for its customers, include FedEx SameDay® and FedEx Overnight® options, FedEx counts on planes, trains, trucks and delivery vehicles to make sure packages arrive safely and on time all over the world. Using a unique bar code for each package, all FedEx shipments are scanned to allow FedEx and its customers to track packages from the moment it’s sent out for delivery until it reaches its destination.
How does FedEx ground shipping work?
FedEx operates a network of primary distribution centers, or hubs, which handle all packages for FedEx Ground delivery. Once a package arrives at a hub, the delivery address is entered into a database. The package is then routed to a truck for shipment to a distribution warehouse located closer to the recipient, and finally loaded on a FedEx vehicle for delivery.
When does FedEx charge for shipping?
At the time that FedEx scans the shipping label on your package, the charge will be assessed to your FedEx account.
