Updating Canada Post rates and software on the DM100i (P7EC)
Learn how to update Canada Post rates and software updates on the DM100i.

In order to avoid disruptions to your mail operations, we recommend that you consider updating your mailing system before October 1, 2022
Make sure that your system is connected using PC Meter Connect to communicate with the Pitney Bowes Data Centre.
Important: Meter software updates cannot be confirmed with this tool.
Warning! Do not unplug your power cord or remove the network cords from your meter while updating, as this may cause damage to your meter. However, if your meter has been unresponsive for more than 15 minutes:

Update your meter
Follow these steps to complete your update.- Press the Funds key.
- Press Page Down twice and select check PBP Balance.
- When prompted to Add Postage, select No.
- Select Get Update Now.
Important: If the update prompt does not appear, either your meter is already up-to-date or updates are not ready for download. Visit our Rates and Software Updates page for more information.
- At the prompt Software Download Complete, select Continue.
- If the message Data Capture Upload Required appears, select Connect Now, as you have another update to download. Upon completion, select Continue.
Confirm your meter updates
Click on the Confirm Meter Update button to verify that your Canada Post rate update installed successfully:Important: Meter software updates cannot be confirmed with this tool.
Warning! Do not unplug your power cord or remove the network cords from your meter while updating, as this may cause damage to your meter. However, if your meter has been unresponsive for more than 15 minutes:
- Disconnect your power cord.
- Wait one minute.
- Plug your meter's power cord back in.
- Restart the update process.
