How to re-zero the weigh on the way on the DM475

Learn how to re-zero the weigh on the way on the DM475.

The DM475 WOW, Weigh On the Way, module should automatically re-zero each time a WOW mode is selected. However, some reasons why the WOW will not re-zero are:
  • Vibration interference has occurred
  • Something is touching the weighing area
  • An air current from a vent or fan
To get a successful re-zero follow these steps:
 
  1. Lift the cover and open the jam release lever
  2. Check for material or debris in the wow area
  3. Using a can of non-flammable canned air and working from the left side of the machine to the exit, blow onto the feed deck that the envelopes travel on
  4. Reboot the mailing machine making sure no one touches the mailing machine during boot up.  Here are the steps to follow for a safe restart:
  5. Unplug the power cord, wait one minute
  6. Plug the power cord back in, ensuring that it is plugged directly into a wall outlet
  7. Press Weight/Rate
  8. Select WOW- Weight on the Weight
