How to set a lock code on the DM100i and DM125
Learn how to set a lock code on the DM100i and DM125.
Products affected: DM100®i and DM125™
The lock code prevents unauthorized access to your mailing system when:
- It has entered sleep mode
- It is in a soft power-down mode, which occurs when you press Lock / Power on the upper right-hand corner of your meter
- Press Options
- Press Page Down twice
- Select Lock Code / Passwords
- Select Meter Lock Code
- At the prompt, type in a new 4-digit lock code
- Select Continue
- Re-enter the new lock code to confirm
- Select Continue
- Select Continue once it display the Meter Lock Code has been enabled
- Press Home to return to the Home screen
- Press Options
- Press Page Down twice
- Select Lock Code / Passwords
- Select Meter Lock Code. If there is an existing lock code, your system will prompt for you the 4 - digit code
- Select Change Lock Code
- At the prompt, type in a new 4-digit lock code
- Select Continue
- Re-enter the new lock code to confirm
- Select Continue
- Select Continue once it display the Meter Lock Code has been enabled.
- Press Home to return to the Home screen
- Press Options
- Press Page Down twice
- Select Lock Code / Passwords
- Select Meter Lock Code. If there is an existing lock code, your system will prompt for you the 4 - digit code
- Select Disable Lock Code
- When the message Meter Lock Code Has Been Disabled appears, select Continue
- Press Home to return to the Home screen
