Changing the modem speed on the DM100i

Learn how to change the modem speed on the DM100i.
Products affected: DM100®i (P7EC)
If you are having connection issues, a slower modem speed may resolve the issue.
  1. Press Options.
  2. Press Page Down twice.
  3. Select Connect-Data Center.
  4. Select Phone Parameters.
  5. Press Page Down.
  6. Select Modem Parameters.
  7. When the message Do not change this number unless instructed by PB appears, press Enter/Yes.
    • The current modem string will display at the top of the string. It is ATE0&K0M1X4W2S9=50S7=90^M by default.
  8. Press the Move Cursor Left soft key until the cursor is on the "^".
  9. Input +MS=V34^M. Cycle each special characters by repeatedly pressing the 1 key.
  10. ​​Press a numbered key to cycle each a numbered key for letters.
  11. Verify the string shows ATE0&K0M1X4W2S9=50S7=90+MS=V34^M.
  12. Press Page Down.
  13. Select Set new Value.
  14. After changing the modem speed, restart the meter:
    1. Unplug the power cord.
    2. Wait one minute.
    3. Plug the power cord back in.
