Learn how to resolve a "Data Upload Required" message on the DM300C, DM400C or DM475.

Before you begin
Make sure that your system is connected to access the Pitney Bowes Data Center using SmartLink, PC Meter Connect, a USB Ethernet Connectivity Kit, or a WiFi Connection Device.

Make sure that your system is connected to access the Pitney Bowes Data Center using SmartLink, PC Meter Connect, a USB Ethernet Connectivity Kit, or a WiFi Connection Device.
Solution 1
- Select Connect now. (If your meter does not display Connect now, skip to Solution 2)
- Select Continue.
- Select Download Now if prompted to install available updates for your meter.
- Your meter returns to the Home screen after your updates install.
Solution 2
- If the Data Upload Required message appears and Connect now options do not display on your screen:
- Press Refill Postage.
- Select Check PBP Balance. (Your meter connects to the Pitney Bowes Data Center and displays your available balance.)
- Select Continue.
- Select Download Now if prompted to install available updates for your meter.
- Select Return Home to return to your Home screen after your updates install.
