UPDATE: Canada Post has announced a postal rate increase for all classes and sizes of letters and some services to affect meters and permanent stamps to take effect on Monday, 6 May, 2024.
Some key changes for May 2024 rate update:
- Meter price changes for LettermailTM, Incentive LettermailTM, and Letter-post for all sizes and weights to destinations in Canada, USA and internationally
- Price increases for options and services
NOTE: All meters are required to connect and download latest software update to ensure continued compliance with Canada Post requirements
For comparison purposes
- The price for a single paper stamp for domestic standard letter 0-30g is $1.15
- The price per stamp purchased in booklet or coil is $0.99
The good news - Canada Post has reintroduced savings for postage meter users. Savings range from $0.01-$0.44 depending on weight, size, and destination of the letter.
