Deleting and adding multiple cost accounts in PitneyShip Pro or PitneyShip Enterprise

If you need to delete and add multiple cost accounts, you can export, edit, and re-import a cost account list.

If you need to delete and add multiple cost accounts, you can export, edit, and re-import a cost account list.

The features and options you see may vary depending upon your role and subscription. If you have any questions regarding your permissions, please contact your administrator.

  1. Select Settings > Cost Accounts.
  2. Select Export.
  3. Follow your web browser's prompts to save the file. (The exact steps will vary depending on your browser settings.)
  4. Edit the CSV file.
    1. Set the accounts you want to remove to INACTIVE.
    2. Add the new accounts and set them to ACTIVE.
    3. Save the file in the CSV format.
  5. In the cost accounts screen, select Import > Manual Import.
  6. Select Choose File, select the CSV file you just edited, and select Open.
  7. Select Continue.
  8. In the Import Cost Accounts window, match your CSV file fields in the Your CSV Fields column with the fields in the Cost Account Fields column.
  9. Select Import.
