PitneyShip Enterprise Release Notes version 1.94.0 (December 11, 2024)
Products affected: PitneyShip® Enterprise
New Features & Enhancements
Removed FedEx Medium Box from package type
Previously, two FedEx Medium Box options were listed under the package type selection. We have removed the FedEx Medium Box (8" x 4" x 11") option to better align with FedEx offerings. The FedEx Medium Box (11.5" x 2.375" x 13.25") will remain as a package type selection and can be used with One Rate or Standard Rate.
USPS Short Pay Dispute UI changes and updated URL
If a user has USPS postage ShortPay, they’ll receive an email saying their account has been charged. Users can click the link in the email or navigate to https://apvdisputes.usps.com to complete the dispute form.
Separate printers for UPS international shipments
Users can now print international UPS labels and invoices using two different printers. They can choose between 4" x 6" or 8.5" x 11" sizes for labels, and 8.5" x 11" size for invoices.
UPS and FedEx multi-piece Package Contents
When printing a multi-piece shipping label or creating a multi-piece shipping request, users can now specify the Package Content for each package in the shipment. Users can choose to apply the Package Content to the entire shipment or keep it specific to each package.
Roadie carrier integration
Users can add Roadie as a carrier for same-day delivery.
Read more about Setting up a Roadie account.
Payment error message enhancement
Revised payment error messages to be more user-friendly. These revised error messages will clarify the issue and include steps for users to resolve the error.
Hazmat shipping changes
The Hazardous Materials checkbox is now hidden when "All Carriers" is selected in the shipping flow. It will only appear when users select USPS. A "Learn More" link has been added under the USPS extra services section, labeled "Hazardous Material," which provides a list of items that can and cannot be shipped.
When USPS is selected and the "Does this parcel contain anything potentially hazardous?" checkbox is checked, users will see all available USPS Hazmat special services. It is mandatory for users to select at least one special service in order to proceed. If they fail to do so, an error message will appear stating, "Select Hazmat service to proceed."
Additionally, an inline message has been added below the "Does this parcel contain anything potentially hazardous?" checkbox to make the process more intuitive and informative for users shipping hazardous items.
UPS account verification error message enhancement
Revised UPS account verification error messages to be more user-friendly. These revised error messages will clarify the issue and include steps for users to resolve the error.
Removed PitneyShip Cube Wi-Fi driver from Support
Removed the PitneyShip Cube Wi-Fi driver from the Support menu to simplify the driver installation. Users will now download the same PitneyShip Cube driver regardless of connection type.
Enhance Pharma connectors user-level access
We have updated access permissions for Pharma connector users. Users at the user level will see connectors from location-level users with the same default location first. If the default location is different, they won’t see the location-level connectors. If there are no location-level connectors, they will see connectors from enterprise-level users.
User-level users can print with all connectors, and shipments will appear in the History. The priority order is Location Admin first, then Enterprise Admin.
International shipment presets
Users who frequently ship international packages can create a preset. Users are able to include line items, customs information, and other details in the preset. The Preset can be created through the Shipping Label or Create Preset screens.
Shared Presets sender address
We have made updates to the Shared Preset feature. Sender address details will no longer be included. Now, when someone other than the creator of a Shared Preset uses it to create a shipping label, their default sender address will automatically be applied.
Manage Shared Presets
Admins can now manage Shared Presets. They can share, modify, and delete Shared Presets based on the access privileges assigned to them.
Inventory Management feature
We have added a Manage Inventory feature in the Customs/Item Inventory settings. This new functionality allows users to add, update, or delete custom product details. Users who do not have this feature cannot make changes to inventory items. The feature is available to all roles, including custom roles. If someone wishes to turn off this feature, they can modify the settings for the relevant roles.
Document only shipping to Canadian recipients
When selecting the Document Only option, we have corrected the custom details for Canada shipments. Users will now see the details of the accurate custom when choosing Document Only for FedEx.
International FedEx 4" x 6" label
FedEx users shipping internationally can now print 4" x 6" labels. Invoices and other international documents will still be printed on 8.5" x 11" paper.
