PitneyShip Enterprise Release Notes for version 1.93.0 (November 14, 2024).

Products affected: PitneyShip® Enterprise

New Features & Enhancements

Multi-piece shipment summary

When shipping multi-piece shipments, users can now see the cost for each shipping label and a detailed breakdown of these costs in the Shipment Summary for each package, along with the total shipment cost. This feature is available for domestic and international shipments using UPS and FedEx.

History report export record limit

Users can now export a maximum of 50,000 records from the shipment history. If a user attempts to export more than this limit, an alert will appear with the message, “The export size is too large. Please select a smaller date range and try again.”

UPS future dated shipments extended to 60 days

UPS now allows you to schedule shipments up to 60 days in advance. You can view these upcoming shipments on the Shipment History screen. For domestic shipments, the label will not display a date. However, for international shipments, the label will show the purchase date.

Hazardous materials checkbox

Disabled the Contains Hazardous Material checkbox for all carriers on the Create Shipment screen. However, for carriers that support hazardous materials, the checkbox will remain available once the carrier is selected. When users click the Contains Hazardous Material checkbox, they will only see hazardous material special services. If users select USPS and click the Contains Hazardous Material checkbox, a Learn more link will appear. This link will direct users to the USPS website for information on allowed and not allowed hazardous materials.

Approvals added into Shipping and Ship Request workflow

Admins can now implement approvals based on their specific business needs. Only PB Admins have the capability to create automation rules from the Admin console that trigger the approval workflow for shipping labels or shipment requests. The approval process consists of three stages: Assigned, Rejected, and Approved. Notification emails are sent for each action or status change. This feature is applicable to both single and multi-piece shipments, multiple recipients, and the ship request screens.
