Installing DeviceHub in ShipAccel
DeviceHub is a program that connects printers and scales to ShipAccel.

DeviceHub is a program that connects printers and scales to ShipAccel. DeviceHub is required to connect a scale to ShipAccel.
The features and options you see may vary depending upon your role and subscription. If you have any questions regarding your permissions, please contact your administrator.
Prerequisites
- Prior to installing DeviceHub, it is recommended that you download and install the latest drivers for any printers that will be connecting through DeviceHub from the printer manufacturer’s website.
- For Windows, Microsoft .NET Framework 4.7.2 must be installed. For information, see: Microsoft .NET Framework 4.7.2.
- Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015 will be installed as part of the DeviceHub installation.
- Note: DeviceHub does not support silent installation using .exe or .msi.

DeviceHub is supported on:
Windows 10 or higher
- In ShipAccel, select Settings > My Devices.
- Select Download DeviceHub Installer.
Note: If the button is disabled, it means that your administrator has not given you access to download DeviceHub. Contact your administrator for assistance. - Save the file.
- Open the downloaded file.
Note: If a message appears during the installation process stating that DeviceHub is already installed, click OK to remove the previous version, then click Uninstall. Once the process is complete, click Finish. - Select Install.
- Select Finish.
- Go back to ShipAccel and select Settings > My Devices again.
- Wait for the DeviceHub activation to occur. Two separate messages should appear in the upper right corner of your browser window.
- The first message says "Registering DeviceHub to your computer... This will take a few moments."
- The second message says "DeviceHub is successfully registered. Your printer and scale are now connected."
- The first message says "Registering DeviceHub to your computer... This will take a few moments."
- After the second message disappears, wait a few moments. After a brief time, the list of printers and scales should be displayed on the My Devices page.
- You should now see the printers and scales that are connected to your computer listed on the My Devices screen. If you do not, click the Refresh button. If there are other shared DeviceHubs on your network, you may see them as well.
In order to better see DeviceHub errors and status messages, we recommend enabling the DeviceHub icon.
- Right-click on the Windows Start button and select Settings.
- Select Personalization.
- Select Taskbar on the left side.
- Scroll down to Notification Area and click on Select which icons appear on the taskbar.
- Find DeviceHub in the list and click on the Off slider to change it to On.
Mac OS 11 (Big Sur) or higher
- In ShipAccel, select Settings > My Devices.
- Select Download DeviceHub Installer.
Note: If the button is disabled, it means that your administrator has not given you access to download DeviceHub. Contact your administrator for assistance. - Save the file.
- Open the downloaded file.
- Select Continue.
- Select Install.
- If prompted for your Mac password, enter it and select Install Software.
- Wait while the software is installed.
- When the installation is complete, select Close.
- Go back to ShipAccel and select Settings > My Devices again.
- Wait for the DeviceHub activation to occur. Two separate messages should appear in the upper right corner of your browser window.
- The first message says "Registering DeviceHub to your computer... This will take a few moments."
- The second message says "DeviceHub is successfully registered. Your printer and scale are now connected."

- After the second message disappears, wait a few moments. After a brief time, the list of printers and scales should be displayed on the My Devices page.
- You should now see the printers and scales that are connected to your computer listed on the My Devices screen. If you do not, click the Refresh button. If there are other shared DeviceHubs on your network, you may see them as well.
- (Optional) Delete the installer file using Move to Trash.
