SendPro Enterprise Release Notes for version 8.56.0 Release Notes (October 2, 2023)

Note: Some changes affect all SendPro Enterprise users, while other changes affect licensed users only. If you are a subscriber, your SendPro Enterprise is hosted in the Pitney Bowes cloud with the address https://name.sendproenterprise.com, where "name" is your organization's unique value. If you are a licensed user, your SendPro Enterprise is not hosted in the Pitney Bowes cloud.

Headline Enhancements

The following headline enhancements have been implemented in SendPro Enterprise:

Personal Shipping: Feature Deprecated

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

The Personal Shipping App has been removed from SendPro Enterprise in version 8.56.0 and will no longer be available in the product.

New Carrier: CanadaPost - API

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

Support for CanadaPost - API has been added to SendPro Enterprise as an API carrier.

Shipping Apps: HazMat Templates

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

SendPro Enterprise now allows for HazMat shipment templates to be created, edited, and shared with Profiles or Locations. To learn more, visit:

Product Table Import: Limited Required Fields

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

The mandatory requirement for several fields when importing into the Products table with the Data Management app has been lifted. The following fields are no longer required:

  • ProductNumber
  • HazAccessible
  • HazDOTPassengerQtyLimitsForbidden
  • HazDOTPassengerQtyLimitsNoLimit
  • HazDOTCargoQtyLimitsForbidden
  • HazDOTCargoQtyLimitsNoLimit
  • HazDOTMarinePollutant
  • HazDOTSMP
  • HazDOTInhalationHazard
  • HazDOTConsumerCommodity

Data Management App: Additional Delimiters Supported

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

Support of delimiters has been extended to include the following in the Data Management snippet used in the Admin and Data Management apps:

  • Comma
  • Pipe
  • Semi-colon

Behavior

  • Export: When selecting "|" or ";" as the delimiter in the export, the snippet will generate files with a .txt extension.
  • Import: When importing a file having a .txt extension, the user must choose the delimiter for the file in step 2 of the import wizard.

Data Management App: New Fields Available for Export

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

The Data Management App v1.7 now offers an additional export, 'Shipments Transactions With Line Items'.

This export offers the user the following additional fields of data:

  • Part Number
  • Item Description
  • Quantity
  • Monetary Value

Carrier Changes

The following carrier changes have been implemented for SendPro Enterprise:

FedEx Cross Border International Connect: Shipment Consolidation Option

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

Changes have been made to add a configuration that allows an administrator the option to use FedEx International Connect as a standard carrier or as a consolidation carrier.

If the option to exclude FIC as a consolidation carrier is set to True, then FedEx Cross Border (FIC) will be treated as a standard carrier.

In this scenario, it will be the shipper’s responsibility to deliver the packages to the FedEx clearance facility.

Other Changes

The following other changes have been implemented in SendPro Enterprise:

SendPro Enterprise: Third Party/Recipient Billing

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

Corrected an issue whereby shippers were not able to properly bill Third Parties and Recipients for Duties and Taxes regardless of the Duty Payer Type value selected.

Administration App: Cannot Schedule Task

Affects licensed SendPro Enterprise users only.

Corrected an issue with a jQuery selector which prevented the desired task from running.

FedEx Cross Border: International Connect API Connection Issue

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

An issue has been addressed in the Carrier Functions table for the carrier FedEx Cross Border (FIC) API, which included an incorrect folder value for the connector.

FedEx: International Connect (FIC): HS Codes

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

Resolved an issue where the Harmonized System Code and Currency Code were not being passed to the carrier during the API call.

When shipping via FedEx International Connect, the following nodes are now passed through to the carrier:

  • Harmonized Code
  • HsCode
  • Currency Code
  • CurrencyCode

UPS API: International Signature Label

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

An issue has been addressed with the return of the UPS International Signature Label for qualifying shipments from the UPS API connector. The label will now print when required. The International Signature Label output must be configured to be the same type (ZPL, e.g.) as the shipping label output type.

Rate Shop Results: Residential Delivery not Supported

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

Corrected an issue whereby rate shop results were accompanied by an error message reading "Special Service 'residential delivery' is not supported" when the residential flag for the shipping address is set to True.

MailCenter App: FedEx Freight Web Service

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

Resolved a data mapping issue in the MailCenter App to ensure line-item weight is sent for freight shipments. Users reported being presented with the error message; “weight was not provided”.

Dayton Freight: Unable to Rate/Print

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

Resolved an issue where shippers were neither able to retrieve rates nor print labels when shipping through Dayton Freight Lines.

Carrier Activity Report: Formatting

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

The Carrier Activity Report has been modified to slightly reduce the font size for the Package Reference field to accommodate longer values, such as USPS tracking numbers.

Data Management: Incorrect Delimiter Applied to Export

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

Addressed an issue where the Data Management App disregarded the users’ choice of delimiter. The delimiter would change from the users’ choice to a comma.

UPS Mail Innovations: Package Reference Fields Swapped

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

Addressed an issue in UPS Mail Innovation where the following fields were swapped:

  • PackageReference2
  • PackageReference

The PackageReference field will now display the USPSPICNumber"

FedEx Cross Border: DDP/DDU Error

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

Corrected a problem in which the system was sending an unnecessary extra node to FedEx Cross Border (International Connect)

FedEx Ground Hazardous: OP-900 Missing Data

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

Addressed an issue where OP-900 document was not printing correctly:

  • The FedEx Ground Hazardous Materials OP-900 document will no longer print for Consumer Quantities or Limited Quantities.
  • FedEx Ground Hazardous Materials OP-900 document was not being produced for FedEx Home Delivery when applicable. The document will now be printed for FedEx Home Delivery when applicable.

Reports App: Removed Date from ID Field

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

Addressed an issue in which the shipment date was being added to the 'ID' column. The 'ID' column now only returns the “ID”; the date has been removed.

Administration App: App Groups Not Shown

Affects licensed SendPro Enterprise users only.

Resolved an issue in the Admin App regarding App Groups. Once a user was assigned to an App Group, the App Group was not visible in the dropdown menu. This has been corrected.

All Applicable Carriers: Missing Data on Electronic Commercial Invoice

Affects licensed SendPro Enterprise users only.

Corrected the issue of missing data elements on electronic trade documents.

The Special Instructions section of the FedEx WS ETD Commercial Invoice can currently be populated (up to 40 characters max) by passing in the required text in the ShipperReference of the PierbridgeRequest.

If more than 40 characters are required, the content of the Special Instructions section can be sent in the ShippingNotes element of the PierbridgeRequest. In the Warehouse app, this field is mapped to the Shipping Instructions input on the References tab.

If both the ShippingNotes and ShipperReference fields (of the first package) are populated in the PierbridgeRequest then the value passed in the ShipperReference field will appear on the FedEx ETD CI beneath the package details, in a separate row as "Special Instruction: [value]".

For DHL XML PI, logic has been added to the Shipment translator that forwards to DHL any text included in the ShippingNotes element of the PierbridgeRequest to be included in the Remarks section of the DHL-generated Commercial Invoice."

Data Management App: Failed Export when Filtering by Hours

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

Corrected an issue whereby filtering by the last xx hours would fail if using 10, 11, or 12 hours.

Reports App: Boolean Parameters

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

Addressed an issue where having two boolean dropdowns causes them to combine in the Reports App User interface. The Active Reports Snippet now allows multiple boolean parameters to be used within the Reports App.

Designer: Fails to Connect to Data Source

Affects licensed SendPro Enterprise users only.

Resolved an issue in Designer where the user was not able to establish a connection to a data source.

Certified Mail App: USPS Flat with Stamps

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

Addressed an issue in the Certified Mail App v1.32 where the optioning USPS Flat with stamps would not print; requires upgrading to Certified Mail App v1.33.

Delivery Report: Duplicate Results

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

Addressed an issue where duplicated rows were being output when requesting a Delivery Status report.

View App: Void Shipment Button Unresponsive

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

Corrected an issue whereby the Void Shipment button in the View App would become unresponsive if data was present in Reference 5. This issue is resolved by upgrading to View App v1.41.

SendPro Enterprise: Negotiated Rate Missing in Carrier Response

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

Addressed an issue where the client’s negotiated rates were in the Carrier Response, but not seen in the Client Response.

User Import: User Default Profile Faile to Import Permissions

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

Addressed an issue where permission levels are not imported when additional details are present.

When running a Data Import to add or update a User Default, it is not possible to have User details and Profile details at the same time or there will be an issue with the Carrier Permissions.

  • If UserID or UserEmail has data, ProfileID and ProfileDescription must be blank.
  • If ProfileID or ProfileDescription has data, UserID and UserEmail must be blank.
  • If UserID or UserEmail has data and ProfileID and ProfileDescription are empty, the Carrier Permission will be set to Type of User and the user will be that which matches the UserID or UserEmail.
  • If ProfileID or ProfileDescription has data and UserID and UserEmail are empty, the Carrier Permission will be set to Type of Profile and the profile will be that which matches the ProfileID or ProfileDescription.
  • If all 4 columns (UserID, UserEmail, ProfileID, ProfileDescription) are blank, the Carrier Permission will be set to All Users and the Description will also say All Users.[description of change].
