SendPro Enterprise version 8.47.0 Release Notes (December 14, 2021)

Note: Some changes affect all SendPro Enterprise users, while other changes affect licensed users only. If you are a subscriber, your SendPro Enterprise is hosted in the Pitney Bowes cloud with the address https://name.sendproenterprise.com, where "name" is your organization's unique value. If you are a licensed user, your SendPro Enterprise is not hosted in the Pitney Bowes cloud.

Note: Though released and available, due to end-of-year customer shipping volumes, only new instances and those marked for Early Adoption will be automatically upgraded to 8.47.0 in 2021. All remaining instances will be automatically upgraded in maintenance windows over the first few weeks of January 2022. Customers in need of upgrading their instance to resolve specific issues addressed in this release are directed to chat with us for upgrade planning and scheduling.

Headline Enhancements

The following headline enhancements have been implemented in SendPro Enterprise:

Administration App. Updated handling of sensitive information.

Affects licensed SendPro Enterprise users only.

In support of this:

• Passwords used in the Administration App are not viewable, they will be displayed as ‘****’
• In cases where a password can be set or edited, while adding a new value, the detail is masked but the value can be revealed by the user to validate the input before saving. Once the value is saved the value cannot be viewed again.
• Passwords are not stored in the database as plain text. They are stored in encrypted form

Note. Failure to upgrade to the latest version of the Administration App (1.64) may result in the unintended manipulation of data which can cause parts of the system to behave incorrectly.

Outputs. Updated Active Reports labels to fit the required stock.

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

The Generic Label (Reference 1).rpx and the Generic Label (ShipperReference).rpx Active Reports have been amended to ensure the labels fit the required label stock.

Certified Mail App. Added support for Returns functionality.

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

Return shipments are now possible in the Certified Mail App via the Returns tab. If the return address is specified and a document type of Coversheet is selected, the return address is printed in place of the sender address.

Stamps App. Various improvements to Stamps functionality.

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

The following improvements have been implemented:

• Added a new setting, Stamp Type editable via the Administration App. This allows for two stamp types to be used: IMI-STD and IMI-MIN
• The Certified Mail App now supports stamp printing

SendPro Enterprise. Various improvements to Installation.

Affects licensed SendPro Enterprise users only.

The following has been implemented:

• Added new Instance Parameter Is SSL Certificate Offloaded? which allows instances to be installed with HTTP protocol. This is to support instances of SendPro Enterprise where the certificate is off-loaded by a Load-balancer. Note, a new instance can be installed if this setting is set to True or False.

Updated handling of authentication methods.

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

Updated authentication whereby if the tenant is externally authenticated, the ability to set or reset a User's password from the Administration App is not available.

Carrier Changes

The following carrier changes have been implemented for SendPro Enterprise:

OSM Worldwide. Added new carrier.

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

SendPro Enterprise now supports OSM Worldwide.

Other Changes

The following other changes have been implemented in SendPro Enterprise:

Hazardous Shipping. Resolved issues with Hazardous Aircraft Cargo Only detail when Rating and Shipping.

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

Resolved issues with rating and shipping when passing Hazardous Aircraft Cargo Only line item detail.

Task Scheduler. Fixed issue with duplicate task type display.

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

Fixed issue whereby the task types list displayed duplicate tasks types multiple times.

DHL XML-PI. Resolved issue when shipping destination is set to Bolivia.

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

Shipments to Bolivia using DHL XML-PI now function as expected.

MailCenter App. Resolved issue with International outputs generating for Domestic return shipments.

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

Resolved issue whereby the USMCA Certificate Of Origin international document was being generated for domestic return shipments. This has now been resolved.

Batch Processing App. Resolved errors caused by pending special service mappings.

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

Special Service mapped to pending table now populates as expected when selecting the shipment in the Batch Processing App.

Set Address Book Snippet. Resolved parameter issue.

Affects licensed SendPro Enterprise users only.

Setting the Allow any user to update any address book parameter now functions as expected.

Desktop App. Resolved issues with favorites being edited and saved incorrectly.

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

Fixed issue whereby a favorite could be saved with a blank name if the user navigated back and forth in the Desktop App, after checking for a favorite.

Shipping Apps. Resolved issue with Return Address discrepancies.

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

Resolved issues whereby the Return Address would not mirror the Ship From address if the Ship From address was edited after selecting the Use Ship From Address option in the Return Address tab. This has now been resolved.

Warehouse App. Resolved issue with package type selection.

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

Fixed issue whereby the selected package type was overwritten and replaced with Pallet when no specific package type detail was returned by the rateshop. Now the Warehouse App will use the previously selected package type for shipments where no package detail is provided.

Personal Shipping App. Fixed issue with App deletion.

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

This has been resolved.

MailCenter App. Resolved issues when shipping hazardous packages with more than one item.

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

Shipping hazardous packages with more than one item now functions as expected.

Consolidated Shipping. Resolved issues when shipping with UPS Trade Direct® Standard LTL via ConnectShip.

Affects licensed SendPro Enterprise users only.

Implemented the following improvements when shipping with UPS Consolidated UPS Trade Direct® Standard LTL Service:

• Updated the Pierbridge Rate Request to correctly set the Terms field in the Connectship Rate request. Note, rates are returned with a zero cost as this service is not rated, but the change prevents the request from failing in ConnectShip
• Updated the Pierbridge Ship Request to correctly set the Terms field in the Connectship shipment request
• Modified the Pierbridge Consolidated Shipment Request to correctly set the Terms field in the Connectship Group Modify request for UPS Consolidated UPS Trade Direct consolidated shipments. This also adds the Third Party Billing field and the Third Party Billing Account correctly when required
• Terms of Sale field is now set to the correct value

SendPro Enterprise. Resolved issue with identical App names in Administration area.

Affects licensed SendPro Enterprise users only.

Resolved issue whereby the administration area failed to load if apps with identical names were loaded.

SendPro Enterprise. Fixed table display issues in the Firefox browser.

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

Tables now display correctly when using SendPro Enterprise in the browser.
