Creating custom printer settings for PitneyShip or PitneyShip Pro
When printing stamp sheets or envelopes, you may need to make changes to your printer's default settings, which may affect other programs. To avoid changing settings back and forth between PitneyShip or PitneyShip Pro and other programs, we recommend that you install a duplicate instance of your printer that is dedicated to printing from PitneyShip or PitneyShip Pro.

When printing stamp sheets, #10 or #9 envelopes, you may have to make changes to your printer's default settings, which may affect other programs. To avoid changing settings back and forth between PitneyShip or PitneyShip Pro and other programs, we recommend that you install a duplicate instance of your printer that is dedicated to printing from PitneyShip or PitneyShip Pro.
Windows
- Press the Windows Key + R key.
- Type Control Panel.
- Click OK or press Enter.
- Change the View By: field to Small icons.
- Open Devices and Printers.
- Right-click on the printer and select Printer properties.
- Select the Ports tab.
- Write down the Port name that is checked.
- Select the Advanced tab.
- Write down the name of the Driver that is listed.
- Select OK or Cancel to close the window.
- On the Devices and Printers screen, select Add a printer.
- Select The printer that I want isn't listed.
- If a box comes up asking if you want to make changes to this device, click Yes.
- Select Add a local printer or network printer with manual settings.
- Select Next.
- Choose the Port that you wrote down earlier from the Use an existing port menu.
- Select Next.
- Choose the manufacturer of your printer in the Manufacturer box.
- Scroll through the Printers list and choose the Driver that you wrote down earlier.
- Select Next.
- Choose Use the driver that is currently installed (recommended).
- Select Next.
- Give the printer a unique name to be used for SendPro Online, PitneyShip, or PitneyShip Pro. Do not use the same name as your existing printer.
- Select Next.
- Choose Do not share this printer.
- Select Next.
- Select Finish.
USB printer on MacOS
- Select the Apple icon.
- Select System Preferences.
- Open Printers & Scanners.
- Select the + button
- Select the printer that you want to make a copy of.
- Change the Name field to a unique printer name to be used for SendPro Online, PitneyShip, or PitneyShip Pro. Do not use the same name as your existing printer.
- Select Add.
