Setting up a wireless (WiFi) connection with a SmartLink device on the mailstation series and DM100i-DM475
Use a SmartLink device to connect your meter to the Pitney Bowes Data Center with a wireless (WiFi) connection. These instructions are for first-time users who have never installed a SmartLink device on the mailstation, mailstation2, DM125, DM300C, DM400C, or DM475.
Products affected: mailstation™, mailstation2™, DM100®i, DM125™, DM200L™, DM225™, DM300C™, DM400C™, DM450C™, DM475™
Alert: The USPS has discontinued all IBI meter technology, and many devices must be returned and withdrawn from service by the end of 2024. If your device is affected, new business rules will disrupt your mailing operation. Check Your Account to see if your device is affected and contact your Account Representative to migrate to a compliant solution.
To configure a wireless (WiFi) connection with a SmartLink™ device:
- Go to the SmartLink Setup page.
- Select Wireless under 'Choose Your Connection.'
- Follow the directions to configure your wireless connection.
- After configuring your wireless connection:
- If your SmartLink device shows the USB Connectivity light as solid green and the Network Connectivity light as blinking green, then your SmartLink device is successfully connected.
- If the Network Connectivity light on your SmartLink device does not blink green after 3 minutes, see Troubleshooting SmartLink wireless (WiFi) connection issues.
