Setting up a job on the W360 Tabber
Learn how to set up a job on the W360 tabber.
Products affected: W360 Multifunction Tabber System
Important: Before programming a job, set up the feeder and the tabber to feed the media.
- Set up the Tab description (V-Tab):
- Select Job #.
- Select V-Tab.
- Select V Tab Head #.
- Select Automatic.
- Feed 1 sample.
- Select the Tab Type:
- For tabs in which the space between the tabs is lighter than the Tab even if the tab is white, select Opaque.
- For tabs that have a black line between the tabs, select Clear.
- For assistance in determining which tab type to select, see Appendix B – Identifying the Tab Types in the Operator Guide.
- Select Save.
- Select Back to go back to the Home screen.
- Set the Pitch (size of tab):
- Select Job #.
- Select Automatic.
- Select Head #.
- Select Side Tab.
- Select Pitch.
- Enter the Pitch. To determine the pitch, measure the distance from beginning of one tab to the beginning of next tab and add .01 inch.
Pitch for common tabs:
Large tabs = 1.640 inches
Small tabs = 1.200 inches - Select Save.
- Select Back to go back to the Home screen.
- Set the Product Length (Product-L):
- Select Job #.
- Select Automatic.
- Select Head #.
- Select Side Tab.
- Select Product – L.
- Enter the length of material to be tabbed in inches.
- Select Save.
- Select Back to go back to the Home screen.
- Set the Tab Position:
- Select Job #.
- Select Manual.
- Select Head #.
- Select Side Tab.
- Select Position.
- Enter the position where the tabs are to be placed on the material.
- Select Save.
