SendPro Enterprise version 8.20.0 Release Notes (April 5, 2018)
HEADLINE ENHANCEMENTS
The following headline enhancements have been implemented in SendPro Enterprise:
Rate Shop. New filtering option.
The FilterRateShopResult parameter can be set to:
- SuccessOnly. Only returns successful rates. This is the default value and current behavior.
- All. Returns results for all attempted rates. Failed or unavailable services and rates are identified and returned with an explanation from the carrier.

OTHER CHANGES
The following other changes have been implemented in SendPro Enterprise:
HubCapp Peripheral Agent. Improved Postal Meters tab.
Within the Postal Meter tab, the CHOOSE FILE TO IMPORT button is now visible at all times. Previously, this option was only available if no configuration files were present. Additionally, added the warning message when editing Meter Types. There is a new HubCapp Peripheral Agent 2.8.0.
Shipping Apps. Corrected Return button color.
The return button is now blue.
Corrected issue with assigning App permissions. This is now resolved.
Printing. Improved handling of reprinting voided packages.
- Outputs associated with voided shipments or packages can no longer be printed.
- All labels or documents associated with a shipment can now be printed with a single request.
- If no output is found during printing, the print request searches the shipment for any stored outputs, and if a matching item is found, this is printed instead of giving an error.
App Settings. Corrected documentation links.
Amended App Settings’ default values to update legacy documentation links that display in the Desktop and MailCenter Apps. See All App Settings for detail.
Rate Shop. MailCenter App. Warehouse App. Enhanced Guaranteed rate options.
The Pick Best Rate and Required By options available in the MailCenter and Warehouse App now filter Guaranteed services as expected.
Desktop App. Corrected disabled App landing page buttons for Users.
When logged in as a User, the Desktop App landing page links to the View, Reports and Certified Mail Apps are now available, if assigned permissions.
Apps. Fixed issue with user login.
Logging in with the User role is no longer affected by Profile’s App Permissions configured in Administration App. Previously, if the data was invalid, a 500 error would present on login.
Postal Meter snippet. Updated product references.
Removed references to legacy products in Postal Meter messages.
Rate Shop Results grid.
Updated carrier logo display In Rate Shop Results grid, the service FedEx Home Delivery now shows the correct FedEx Ground logo.
PB Shipping API - USPS.
Improved authentication token handling Updated caching of authentication tokens to increase their reliability if the expiry is less than an hour.
UPS API. Revised Rate Response.
Updated the UPS API Rate Response to use different fields when calculating accessorial fees and shipping costs, due to the carrier returning incorrect cost information.
Shipment tracking. Shipments maintain local timezones.
The recorded time of tracking actions now remains as passed from the carrier. Previously, it converted to the user’s timezone.
Requisitions. Updated Content Item Entry.
The Content Item Entry component now loads data correctly when the GetPendingContents method is called.
Desktop, MailCenter, Supplier, Store Apps. Removed redundant line items column.
The Total Value column has been removed as it is automatically calculated by the server. This column was used for domestic shipping with Office Apps and international shipping in the Shipping Apps.
Desktop App. ERR.
Corrected default Accounting detail. All fields under the Accounting tab are now populated with default values when using the ERR workflow.
MailCenter App. Updated Trip Meter checkbox.
The Trip Meter checkbox now trips meters as expected.
MailCenter App, Warehouse App. Returns.
Within the Returns tab, the updated checkbox now displays Process return with the shipment.
Desktop App. Improved clarity of Bulk List process.
Now, when a Bulk List shipment has finished with no errors, you are informed with a confirmation message and select the Complete button to return to the Desktop App landing page.
HubCapp Peripheral Agent. Improved printing.
The following changes have been made to the printing process:
- Improved the error message that presents when a printer name hasn’t been configured for printing documents in Peripheral Agent.
- Corrected an issue where certain characters in the printer name caused errors.
Users can now alter the default setting and print labels on label printers, rather than via document printers. This is configured in Peripheral Agent under Documents.
There is a new HubCapp Peripheral Agent 2.8.0.
Shipping Apps. Improved zip code application.
The Zip field no longer disables the RATE and SHIP buttons, if left empty, allowing users to complete shipments to countries that do not require zip codes.
Desktop, MailCenter, Warehouse Apps.
Improved shipping to Army Post Office (APO) addresses. If a user enters APO, FPO or DPO in the City field, the package line items now show Schedule B, ECCN, and Country of Origin fields.
Shipping Apps. Added My Apps menu.
My Apps now included in the Warehouse, Store and Supplier App.
Email notifications. Email Tasks now work with multiple receivers.
Improved the way email tasks handle semicolon-delimited email addresses. Now, multiple recipients will all receive emails.
