Add a custom preset to store up to five commonly used settings.
Products affected: DM110i™, DM160i™, DM220i™ (PR20)
A preset is a snapshot of settings that are most commonly used. To add a new custom preset, you first need to decide the desired settings for the preset: carrier, class, mail type, envelope message.
Your franking machine has a Normal Preset. These are the settings you use most often. It also has the ability to store up to 5 Custom Presets. Custom Preset are settings that you use frequently but not as often as the Normal Preset.
Define the preset settings and adding a Custom Preset
Before you add a new custom preset, first select the desired settings on your franking machine:
- Select Class, then select the options that you wish to be saved as a preset:
- Carrier.
- Class.
- Mail type (Letter, Large Letter, etc).
- Ad (Envelope Message).
- Text message.
- You then return to the Home screen.
- Press Custom Presets.

- Using the keypad, enter a name (up to 12 characters). To use letters, repeatedly press the appropriate number key until the desired letter appears.
- Select OK when done.
- Select Continue. The franking machine saves the new values and the Custom Preset menu appears.
