SendSuite Tracking version 14.6 Release Notes (January 20, 2021)
New Features
This section describes the major new features or enhancements that are included in this release.
SendSuite Admin. SendSuite Mobile QR.
Non-administrative users now have to ability to generate the SendSuite Mobile app pairing QR code in SendSuite Admin.
Support Items
This section includes items that have been raised via Support and escalated to Development for resolution within this release.
SendSuite Mobile. Pairing error logging.
SendSuite Admin will now log detailed error information when the system experiences a failure paring with SendSuite Mobile.
Installer. CREATE DATABASE permission denied error when upgrading.
For environments in which the SQL dbcreator role is not permitted for the SQL login being employed by the system, a workaround has been developed. Please chat with us if your system fits this profile.
System. Library updates.
Several dependent libraries, system-wide, have been updated to their most recent versions and verified on supported Windows platforms.
SendSuite Admin. Data validation.
Data formatting and validation checks have been implemented on several data entry fields across SendSuite Admin pages.
System. Injection attack protection.
Security improvements have been implemented to help protect against injection attacks.
System. Password requirement enforcement.
Throughout the system, the following password requirements have been employed:
- Must be at least 8 characters long.
- Must contain at least 3 of the following:
- Lower case letter
- Upper case letter
- Number
- Symbol
- Exclamation
- Must not be the same value as the login ID
- Must be unique to each user
- Must not be a value equal to any of the configured number previously used passwords - default is 3
- Must be changed according to the configured schedule - default is 70 days
Note: The password policy will take effect upon the first successful password change for a user ID after upgrading the system to 14.6.
In support, the following field(s) has been added to the USERS table:
- IsFirstTimeLogin - Flags the first login since upgrading to 14.6; triggers application of password rules for the user ID.
- USERSPASSRECORD - A system field.
Installer. SQL script execution failure.
Resolved an issue in the installer in which certain SQL scripts failed to execute.
SendSuite Mobile. Signed status.
Corrected a problem whereby records updated by SendSuite Mobile were not receiving the desired Signed status value.
SendSuite Admin. Improved error log management.
The automatic log size management setting (Admin>Setup>Enterprise>General System Settings>...log days to keep) was not being applied universally, leading to unnecessary bloating of the error log. This has been resolved.
SendSuite Mobile. App crash while using a Checkpoint layout.
Resolved an issue in which the SendSuite Mobile app would crash after scanning several tens of barcodes into a Checkpoint layout with auto-save enabled.
Locker integration. Package status.
A new package status - LOCKEREXPECTED - will be applied to records destined for a locker, reserving the status EXPECTED to be applied only to items handled outside of the locker workflow.
SendSuite Mobile. Manifest filter crash.
Corrected an issue whereby the SendSuite Mobile app would crash when attempting to filter Manifest Layout records by Employee.
Locker integration. Error updating locker registration information in SendSuite Admin.
SendSuite Admin will no longer attempt to contact the previously registered domain when changing the value.
Locker integration. User text fields.
So as to avoid conflict with other customizations, SendSuite Tracking will no longer use existing UTEXT fields. In support, the following fields have been added to all MAILS tables:
- DLVRYPIN - Contains the item retrieval PIN
- LOCKERNUM - Contains the number of the locker for the item
- LOCKERSIZE - Contains the locker size value
- PICKUPINFO - Contains pick up information for the package recipient
