SendSuite Tracking version 12.6 Release Notes (April 4, 2018)

New Features

This section describes the major new features or enhancements that are included in this release.

SendSuite Admin. SMTP Log.

SendSuite Admin now features an SMTP log. Users may view and export log activity via Setup>Maintenance>SMTP Logs.

SendSuite Mobile. Enhanced Email Notification.

Users may now choose to insert linked data fields into the body of an email notification to provide recipient-specific details.

SendSuite Mobile. Offline Login.

SendSuite Mobile users may now switch users and successfully log into the app while the devices is off-line.

SendSuite Mobile. Tracking Number Validation.

SendSuite Mobile will now alert the user if the barcode scanned appears to not be a proper tracking number.

ConfigUtil. Toggle Secure Server.

Whereas in previous versions of the product, switching between HTTP and HTTPS required manual file changes, toggling between a secured and unsecured server may now be completed in ConfigUtil.

SendSuite Link. Java Version Support.

SendSuite Link now supports Java JRE 1.8 Build 161 (1.8.0_161)

Installer. SQL Script Execution.

The installer has been modified to execute only required SQL scripts during upgrades as opposed to all scripts, thereby reducing overall installation time. Furthermore, SQL execution timeout has been raised from 30 to 6000 seconds.

Installer. SQL Login Password Constraints.

The password constraints for the SST_User password in the product installer now mirror that of SQL Server.

SendSuite Mobile. Label Date Fields Available.

Date fields are now available for use with labels printed via belt printers connected to SendSuite Mobile Tracking Assistants.

SendSuite Tracking. USPS Barcode Format.

Added Decode Format for USPS 3811.

SendSuite Tracking. Email Notification Engine Centralization.

Previously disparate, the email notification functionality for all areas of the solution will now implement the same engine.

SendSuite Tracking. Crystal Reports Updated.

The Crystal Reports Runtime has been upgraded to 12.7.0.1983 in response to the ActiveX Control Buffer Overflow Vulnerability.

SendSuite Tracking. Pathfinder Removed.

All references to the obsolete component, Pathfinder, have been removed from the product entirely.

Support Items

This section includes items that have been raised via Support and escalated to Development for resolution within this release.

Smart Client. Recipient Name Carry Forward.

Resolved an issue whereby reports were negatively impacted if the Carry Forward option was enabled on the Recipient Name field in a screen configuration.

SendSuite Mobile. Action Confirmation.

Resolved an issue causing action confirmation dialogs to not be responsive to user input.

SendSuite Mobile. Asset Management Timestamps.

Resolved an issue in which Date and Time values were not correct in the Asset activity log.

Smart Client. International Date Format.

The Smart Client will now display dates in the regional format.

SendSuite Mobile. Image Overwriting.

Resolved an issue whereby previously existing images would be overwritten by images taken during delivery.

SendSuite Mobile. Event Order.

The order of events in the log will now always be in proper chronological order of the event timestamp and have the most recent status regardless of the order in which different devices with activity for the same item are synched.

SendSuite Mobile. App Crashes.

Resolved an issue in which some users would experience an app crash when opening a Manifest layout.

Product Installer. SST_User SQL Password.

Should the value in the SST_User password confirmation field not match the value in the password field, the installer will halt and direct the user to ensure the values match.
