Lauren Thomas DeFina, CPA serves as the Vice President, Chief Accounting Officer of Pitney Bowes. In this role, she serves as the Company’s principal accounting officer. Lauren is responsible for overseeing the organization’s accounting functions, including global consolidations, worldwide internal and external financial reporting, preparation and review of all SEC filings, corporate financial policies and procedures and implementation of new accounting pronouncements and SEC rules and regulations.

Lauren joined Pitney Bowes in 2016 as Director of Technical Accounting and Special Projects and most recently served as Vice President, Corporate Controller. Throughout her time at Pitney Bowes, she has provided accounting and reporting expertise on business acquisitions, dispositions, impairments, debt refinancings and has been instrumental in the implementation of new accounting standards. Lauren also provides technical accounting guidance to all business units and manages the financial close process including SEC filings.

Lauren began her career at KPMG, LLP and spent twelve years in public accounting. She left KPMG as the lead Global Senior Audit Manager on the General Electric account. In addition, Lauren completed a rotation in KPMG’s national office.

Lauren obtained a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and her Master's in Accounting from the University of Connecticut and is a Certified Public Accountant.
