Assigning a product to a shared cost account list in PitneyAnalytics

You can assign your meters to a shared account list management service that helps you ensure all your products are using a common, consistent list of cost accounts.

Products affected: PitneyAnalytics, PitneyShip™ Pro, PitneyShip™ Enterprise

You can assign your meters to a shared account list management service that helps you ensure all your products are using a common, consistent list of cost accounts.

  1. Select Settings > Products.
  2. (Optional) Select one or more Locations.
  3. Click Pull Meters.
  4. (Optional) Search by Meter Serial Number to view a single meter.

  5. Click Edit for the desired meter.
  6. Click Use shared cost account management.

    Important: If your meter is attached to Business Manager it is not eligible and you will not see this option.
  7. Click Yes.
  8. Select one of these options:

    • Add my product's cost accounts ... – This adds the cost accounts currently on your meter to the shared list at the Location level.
    • Discard my product's cost account list – This will purge whatever cost accounts were manually entered at the meter. If you plan to discard, click Save a backup ... .
  9. Click Save.

When the Meter Accounting tab refreshes, the Account List Mgmt status changes to Active and the Last Sync time stamp is displayed. You can view the cost account for the meter by clicking the list icon.
