SendPro Enterprise version 8.55.0 Release Notes (May 27, 2023)

Note: Some changes affect all SendPro Enterprise users, while other changes affect licensed users only. If you are a subscriber, your SendPro Enterprise is hosted in the Pitney Bowes cloud with the address https://name.sendproenterprise.com, where "name" is your organization's unique value. If you are a licensed user, your SendPro Enterprise is not hosted in the Pitney Bowes cloud.

Headline Enhancements

The following headline enhancements have been implemented in SendPro Enterprise:

FedEx. SameDay City Service

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

FedEx Office retired its SameDay City Carrier service effective March 31, 2023, after proudly serving more than 30 U.S. cities during the past decade. As a result, FedEx SameDay City Carrier as services has been removed from SendPro Enterprise.

USPS eCertified. 9.5" x 12" Coversheet.

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

In the Certified Mail App, users may now produce eCertified 9.5" x 12" coversheets with a postage stamp. Additional details:

• Allows letters up to and including 3.5 oz
• Allows adding a stamp to flats and 6" x 9" coversheets
• Defaults to 'Flat' when certified 9.5 x 12 is selected."

USPS. Regional A & B Package Types.

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

Effective January 22, 2023, Regional Rate Box pricing has been discontinued. Remaining Regional Rate Boxes can still be used for shipping but will be treated as weight and rate packages. Customers who currently use these boxes are encouraged to place orders before supplies are depleted. As a result of this carrier change, USPS Priority Regional Rate Box A (ID 491) and USPS Priority Regional Rate Box B (ID 492) have been removed from Carrier Package Types base data for the carrier USPS.

Carrier Changes

The following carrier changes have been implemented for SendPro Enterprise:

USPS. Line Item Details for US Territory Shipments.

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

For compliance purposes, the following apps have been updated to allow for line item details to be added to the shipment:

• Warehouse v1.69
• MailCenter v1.63
• Desktop App v1.56
• Desktop Shipping v1.38

When shipping to the following US territories, the Country Code must be set to "US":

• American Samoa (AS)
• Guam (GU)
• Commonwealth of North Marianna Islands (MP)
• Commonwealth of Puerto Rico (PR)
• U.S. Virgin Islands (VI)
• Republic of the Marshall Islands (MH)
• Federated States of Micronesia (FM)
• Republic of Palau (PW)

STAT Overnight. Zebra Label Support.

Affects licensed SendPro Enterprise users only.

SendPro Enterprise now supports the option to use a Zebra (ZPL) label format for STAT Overnight:

• Output Type = Label
• ID = 1
• Generate From = Carrier
• Format = Zebra/ZPL
• Printer = Response
• Stock = 4x6 & 4x8

Other Changes

The following other changes have been implemented in SendPro Enterprise:

FedEx Web Services. Tracking Requests.

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

Resolved an issue whereby FedEx Web Services tracking requests were failing.

UPS Multipack. Voiding.

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

When a UPS multipack shipment is voided, all packages included in the multipack are now voided as expected.

Bulk List Processing. Return Labels.

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

Resolved an issue whereby processing Bulk Lists with Return Labels enabled would fail to process all records in the Bulk List.

Canadian Shippers. Carrier Shipping Key Requests.

Affects licensed SendPro Enterprise users only.

Resolved an issue whereby requesting shipping keys with a Canadian address would fail.

UPS API. Mixed Hazmat Multipack.

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

Corrected a problem whereby all packages within a multipack were marked hazardous when any single package is marked hazardous. Going forward, packages will retain their hazardous status upon completion of the multipack shipment.

FedEx. Failing International Shipments.

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

Implemented a resolution to ensure that FedEx International shipments fail completely when no labels are available.

View App. Returning Results.

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

Resolved an issue where the View app was not returning data for shipments in cases where an excessive number of shipping keys had been assigned to a single account.

All Apps. jQuery Updated.

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

Apps released with 8.55 now employ the latest jQuery libraries. Standard Apps and Snippets should not be affected, but some customized Apps may experience errors after upgrade if customizations also used deprecated code.

Data Export. Filter by Shipment Time.

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

The time log value has been added as a filter option when exporting data from the Admin and Data Management Apps. When selecting the ActualShipDate filter, the user may specify the Last x Hours of data to be exported.

Platform. Database Requests.

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

Excessive calls to the database have been removed, increasing App optimization.

Platform. Optimization.

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

The following optimization improvements have been implemented with this release:

• Reduced the number of rows stored for caching package data to 24 hours
• Reduced the frequency of database calls pertaining to rating and rate shopping
• Rate shop requests have been optimized for efficiency.

Data Management App. New Fields.

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

The Data Management App has been updated to include the following fields:

• Carrier Package Type
• Insert User Email
• Insert User Location
• Sent By
• Actual Delivery Date

Carrier Configuration. Shipping Key Export.

Developed to simplify setting up carriers in a production environment to match that of dev/testing, Shipping Keys is a new type of data that can be selected for export from both the Admin and Data Management apps of the QA instance. Results will be downloaded in a .zip file. After extraction, the file may be imported into the production instance.

Data Export. Remove Symbols.

Affects all SendPro Enterprise users.

When exporting a data set, users now have the option to remove the trademark and registered symbol from the data. This is available as an export option checkbox labeled "Remove Trademark and Registered Symbols".
