SendSuite Live version 7.34.00 Release Notes (November 14, 2019)

SendSuite Live Release Notes for version 7.34.00 (November 14, 2019).
Products affected: SendSuite® Live

HEADLINE ENHANCEMENTS

This section describes the major new features or enhancements that are included in this release.

Peripherals. Support for Additional .NET Framework Versions

The following .NET Framework options are now available:

  • Scale component (.NET Framework 2.0, 4.6 and 4.72)
  • Printer component (.NET Framework 4.0, 4.6 and 4.72)

In support:

  • Added a new installer for each .NET Framework version with the version included in its filename (E.g. Client Scale Setup (NET v4.6).exe). Note that the upgrade process of the modules has been changed to identify potential updates for the current framework installed, meaning the product will always target the highest version available in the system (E.g. if .NET 4.0 printer component is in use, the user will be prompted to update to .NET 4.6 or 4.7.2 if available). This logic means that users will likely be required to perform two updates in quick succession. The first upgrade then provides further updates based on the installed version of .NET, thus ensuring that the highest version available is used.
  • A further change has been made whereby printing is always attempted before the user is asked to update their version. Previously, users were prompted to update immediately if an update was available, meaning that outputs within the current transaction failed to print.

LabelMaster DGIS. Added Support for New Packing Instruction Options

A new Packing Instruction Suffix (Air) dropdown has been added to the DGIS Hazardous Material Packaging section within the Material Search window. Users can select the values IA and IB as required; the selected option is passed to DGIS via the PiSuffix node during validation and shipping. Note that the dropdown defaults to None. Also, refer to the XML Schema Changes section of these release notes.

FedEx Web Services. Extended LabelMasking Node Functionality

The LabelDetailMask node has been improved to support multiple masking options. Where previously only one item could be masked, new logic enables users to mask multiple items by combining the following values:

  • Customs Value = 1
  • Duties and taxes payor account number = 2
  • Secondary barcode = 4
  • Shipper account number = 8
  • Terms and conditions = 16
  • Transportation charges payor account number = 32

For instance, to mask the Customs Value (1) and the Transportation charges payor account number (32), users would pass the value 33 into the LabelDetailMask field. Note that this logic is supported only for FedEx Web Services Ship and Return transactions. Also, refer to the Possible Breaking Changes and XML Schema Changes sections of these release notes.

UPS Consolidated. Added Support for ConnectShip World Ease Summary Label

The World Ease Summary label is now supported when operating with UPS Consolidated. The label is generated instead of the standard Doc Box label for all appropriate shipments during the End Of Day process. Note that, even if configured, this label will only be available if ConnectShip server configuration has been completed and for shipments that match criteria as described by ConnectShip.
