HEADLINE ENHANCEMENTS

This section describes the major new features or enhancements that are included in this release.

UPS Freight API. Added New Carrier

Support for the new ConnectShip-based carrier, UPS Freight API. Carrier registration has been modified to enable UPS Freight users to get credentials directly from UPS.

Updated Carrier and Service Selection HTC to include the new carrier. Also, refer to the Project Template Changes and XML Schema Changes section of these release notes.

DHL Global Mail. Carrier Renamed to DHL eCommerce

As part of ConnectShip compliance, DHL Global Mail has been renamed to DHL eCommerce. This change affects the whole product and its supporting documentation. Also, refer to the Possible Breaking Changes section of these release notes.

Loomis Express, CANPAR Server. Support for NSR

Loomis Express and CANPAR Server now support No Signature Required (NSR) option displayed on a label.

Set this up using the Delivery Confirmation – Signature Waiver special service. Generated label will display NSR.

To cater for the new changes, CANPAR now supports Delivery Confirmation – Signature Waiver (ID=42).

FedEx Freight Web Services. Support for Freight Account Linked to FedEx Express Account

Added ability to ship with FedEx Freight Web Services using a FedEx Express account linked to a FedEx Freight account number.

LabelMaster DGIS. Support for Net Mass Quantity and Net Mass UOM

If using 49 CFR regulation for US Domestic shipments by ground or air, Net Mass UOM and Net Mass Quantity can now be included when validating a Dangerous Goods shipment. The Parcel Line Item Entry with Hazardous Sub Lines JOC has been amended to include new UOM and Net Mass Quantity fields.

Note: The Net Mass fields won’t be mapped to the DGIS request, if shipping with the FedEx carrier. Also, refer to the XML Schema Changes section of these release notes.

OTHER CHANGES

This section contains information about minor changes and corrections. It can include issues raised in previous releases that have been corrected.

Generation 2 Project Templates. Address Book. Improved Address Validation Status Icons

Validation status icons in Generation 2 project templates now show accurately when a validated address is recalled through the Address Book.

HostNames. Fixed Tenant HostNames Logins

Fixed issue whereby a login would fail if a tenant used a HostName.

PB Shipping API – USPS. Fixed Incorrect Error Message

If a partial failure occurs while processing multi-pack shipments, users now get an error to void shipments and destroy labels.

FedEx Freight Web Services. Fixed Void Response Error

Fixed issue whereby a 404 error would occur when attempting to void FedEx Freight Web Services shipment.

POSSIBLE BREAKING CHANGES

This section lists all changes that have the potential to break legacy functionality. Please review the contents of this section before updating any project to understand the changes that are being made and any actions that you need to take prior to applying the patches.

• Renamed customizable carrier name attributes. The database will overwrite Carrier Name, and Carrier Service names relating to DHL Global Mail. Prior to upgrading, review any customized DHL Global Mail carrier name attributes, if applicable.

XML SCHEMA CHANGES

The following XML Schema changes are included in this release.

For Schema Name:

• Rate Request

Added the following:

• FreightHandlingType: Used for setting outer handling unit type for freight shipments (0 = SKD, 1 = CBY, 2 = PLT, 3 = TOT, 4 = LOO, 5 = OTH).
• FreightHandlingUnits: The number of freight handling units in the shipment.
• HolidayPickup: Indicates whether the shipment requires a holiday pickup.
• ProtectFromFreezing: Indicates that this is a protect from freezing delivery. Defaults to 'not a protect from freezing delivery' if not submitted
• WeekendPickup: Indicates whether the shipment requires a weekend pickup.
• ExcessDeclaredValue: Excess Declared Value amount.

SenderPickupRequestConfirmationNotification: Indicates an email should be sent to the sender when a pickup request is received.

ReceiverPickupRequestConfirmationNotification: Indicates an email should be sent to the receiver when a pickup request is received.

ReceiverDriverOnRouteNotification: Indicates an email should be sent to the receiver when a driver is on route to a pickup.

ReceiverPickupSecuredNotification: Indicates an email should be sent to the receiver when a pickup has been loaded.

ReceiverPickupExceptionNotification: Indicates an email should be sent to the receiver when a pickup exception occurs.

OtherPickupRequestConfirmationNotifications: Indicates an email should be sent to the addresses in the Other EMail Notifications Addresses when a pickup request is received.

OtherDriverOnRouteNotifications: Indicates an email should be sent to the addresses in the Other EMail Notifications Addresses when a driver is on route to a pickup.

OtherPickupSecuredNotifications: Indicates an email should be sent to the addresses in the Other EMail Notifications Addresses when a pickup has been loaded.
