Setting up Tenant Onboarding in Smart Access Management

Set up Tenant Onboarding if you have multiple companies using Smart Access Management at one site. You can sign into one device to allow access to the desired company.

Adding a role

  1. Select Settings > Roles.
  2. Select Add Subscription Role.
  3. Add Tenant to the Display Name field.
  4. In the SAM Features tab, untick the Register Kiosk, Add and Delete kiosk tablet, Manage tenants and Manage Location AD boxes.
  5. In the Admin tab, untick the Add, modify and delete users tick box.
  6. In the Common tab, untick the View roles tick box.
  7. Select Save and Close.

Adding a location

Important: You need to create a location for the building owner such as Facilities Management or parent company and also for each tenant that will use the device.

  1. Select Settings > Divisions and Locations.
  2. Expand the Default Division menu.
  3. Select + Add Location.

  4. Complete the Name and Company fields. These fields should contain the same information.
  5. Complete the Address Line 1, Zip Code and City, Town, Area fields.
  6. Select Save Location.
  7. In the Inbound Site Framework tab, select Add Site. This needs to be done for each tenant.
  8. Add a Site Name and select a location that you just created.
  9. Select Save and Close.

Adding a tablet

  1. Select Settings > Product Registration.
  2. Select the location for the Facilities Management or parent company from the Location menu.
  3. Select Add Product.
  4. Give the tablet name and enter the tablet serial number. Repeat this process for all the tablets you have.

Adding a tenant

  1. Select Settings > Tenant Onboarding.
  2. Select Add Tenant.
  3. Complete the Name field.
  4. Select the tenant from the Location menu.
  5. Select all the tablets from the Tenant Devices menu

Repeat this process for all the tenants you have.

Adding a user

  1. Select Settings > Users.
  2. Select Add User.
  3. Complete the name and email fields.
  4. Set the Admin Access Level to Location.
  5. Select the tenant the user will be associated with in the Location menu.
  6. From the Assign Roles menu, select the Tenant role.
  7. From the Select Location menu, select the tenant.
  8. Select Save and Close.

Repeat this process for all the tenants you have.

Customising the kiosk layout

  1. Select Settings > Kiosk Layout.
  2. From the Location menu, select the tenant.
  3. Click Browse to import a logo to appear on the welcome page, screen headers and visitor labels, if applicable.
    • The logo's recommended height is 250 pixels.
    • File extensions allowed are png, jpg, GIF and jpeg.
    • The maximum upload file size is 5 MB.
  4. Click Save changes to confirm the layout.

Configuring kiosk workflows

  1. Select Settings > Kiosk Workflows.
  2. Select Add Visitor Type.
  3. Add the visitor type you want to add in the Visitor Type field.
  4. Add the visitor type in the Display Name field. This is how it will appear on the tablet screen.
  5. Use the Location menu to select the tenant who is hosting the visitor.
  6. Configure the Kiosk workflow. See Adding a Visitor Type.
  7. Select Save.

Adding a Site

  1. Select Settings > Access Sites.
  2. From the Location menu, select the tenant.
  3. Select Add Visitor Site.
  4. From the Location / site list, select the site you created in the Adding a Location instructions.
  5. Select the Assign Kiosk Tablets menu and select all the tablets.
  6. Select the Visitor Types menu and then select the visitor type(s) required.
  7. Select Save.
