Replacing the ink cartridge on the DM300-DM450
When your ink supply is low or exhausted, your device displays either a Low Ink warning or Ink Out warning. You need to replace the ink cartridge when you see one of these warnings.

When your ink supply is low or exhausted, your device displays either a Low Ink warning or Ink Out warning. You need to replace the ink cartridge when you see one of these warnings.
To replace the ink cartridge:
- If present, remove the scale by lifting it straight up.
- Open the ink access cover.
- Select Replace Ink Tank.
- Open the ink tank cartridge guard by sliding the green lever to the right and flipping the guard open.
- Lift and remove old ink cartridge.
- Remove the tape seal on the bottom of the new ink cartridge.
- Lower the ink tank into the cavity. The ridges on either side of the cartridge will slide into the grooves.
- Close the Green ink tank cartridge guard. It should click when fully closed.
- Close the cover. The system automatically recognizes the new cartridge.
- The system prompts to print a test pattern:
- Select Yes, Print Test Pattern to print a test pattern.
- Select No to skip printing a test pattern and return to the Home screen.
- Re-seat your scale, if applicable.
- Only use genuine, postal compliant Pitney Bowes ink cartridges, as non-genuine cartridges may damage your meter, and possibly void your warranty or service agreement.
