Products affected: DM100™
You can send a parcel via Australia Post Parcel Post or Express post services using your DM100i. Australia Post offer discounted rates for parcel postage when paid for by a postage meter.
Please note in the example given, the meter is located in Sydney. Other areas of Australia will see a different numerical code following the Surpar or Expost selection. This is normal and corresponds to Australia Post mail zones.
- Press Home.
- Place the parcel on the scale. The parcel weight appears.
- Select Class.
- For Parcel post:
- Select Surpar 1. You may need to press Page Down to find Surpar 1.
- Enter the destination postcode.
- Select the Surpar pricing at the top of the list.
- Select Done.
- For Express post:
- Select Expost 1. You may need to press Page Down to find Expost 1.
- Enter the destination postcode.
- Select Expost 1 from the top of the presented list.
- Select Done.
- You can now print the postage onto a postage label and affix to your parcel.
Notes:
- If you need tracking, Parcel post and Express post tracking stickers are available through Australia Post. Please note the postage barcode printed by the meter is not a tracking barcode.
- You can lodge your item at any Australia Post outlet, or at an Australia Post roadside collection box. Please note red collection boxes are for Parcel post and yellow collection boxes are for Express post articles.
- Australia Post also reserve the right to charge bulky items by volume. If this applies to your parcel, you can get the volumetric weight pricing by manually entering the chargeable weight instead of using the scales. See Entering a manual weight on the DM100.
