Using the Australia Post Letter guide on the DM175-DM130E, DM300-DM450SL, SendPro C, SendPro C Auto and Connect+ Series, SendPro P
Use the Australia Post Letter guide to gain knowledge about Australia Post Letter services that are available to meter clients. Obtain more information by referring to the Australia Post links.
Small Domestic Letters
- Minimum Lodgement quantity: 1 letter.
- Max size: 130 mm x 240 mm x 5 mm.
- Max weight: 250 grams.
- Size: A standard letter, typically a DLX or DL sized envelope.
- Two delivery speeds are available, Regular or Priority, but for urgent items Express post is generally a better option. Letters over 250 grams in weight are classed as Large letters. If the weight exceeds 500 grams, it is classed as a parcel.
- No special addressing or presorting requirements apply. Mail can be lodged at a Post office, or in a Red Australia Post street collection box.
- Postage meter users enjoy a discounted price on this mail class.

Large Domestic Letters
- Minimum Lodgement quantity: 1 letter.
- Max size: 260 mm x 360 mm x 20 mm.
- Max weight: 500 grams
- Also considered a standard letter, although larger and/or heavier. The price varies by weight. If item is over 500 grams it is considered a parcel. A typical example would be a C4 size envelope.
- Two delivery speeds (Regular or Priority) are available.
- No special addressing or presorting requirements apply. Mail can be lodged at a Post office, or in a Red Australia Post street collection box.
- Postage meter users enjoy a discounted price on this mail class.

Clean Mail
- Minimum Lodgement quantity: 300 letters.
- Clean Mail offers a reduced price to clients who present quantities of correctly machine addressed letters.

Charity Mail
- Minimum Lodgement quantity: 300 letters (Barcoded).
- Charity Mail is a service available to organizations that are endorsed by the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) as an Income Tax Exempt Charity (ITEC) or as a Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) and for sending pre-sorted small and large letter articles for the purpose of fund raising and promotion activity.

Express Post Letters
- Minimum Lodgement quantity: 1 letter.
- Express post letters can be paid for directly on your meter. There are three sizes and price options. The meter adds an express indicator near the printed bar code.
- If you require tracking you will need an additional express post tracking sticker. These are available from Australia Post and some stationary suppliers.
- Please use the yellow express post street collection boxes if not lodging at a post office.

Registered Post
Minimum Lodgement quantity: 1 letter.
- To process a letter as a registered mail item:
- Select the mail class and speed:
- Small or Large.
- Regular or Priority.
- Select the mail class and speed:
- Select any additional registered mail services such as Person to person or Delivery confirmation.
- Insert the letter through your meter.
- Affix an Australia Post Registered post sticker to the letter to convert the standard letter to a Registered Post item.
- Lodge over the counter at the Post office to ensure the item gets treated correctly as a Registered Post article, and any extra services paid for are registered correctly.

Presort Mail
- Minimum Lodgement quantity: 300 letters.
- The PreSort Letter service offers reduced charges to clients who sort their letters before lodgement and comply with relevant mailing conditions.

Local Country letters
- Minimum Lodgement quantity: 10 letters.
- Available to senders who:
- Lodge at an office of delivery within the postcode range shown in table below and
- Reside or carry out business in a postcode area or adjoining a postcode area that is serviced by the office of delivery.

International Letters
- Minimum Lodgement quantity: 1 letter.
- You can pay for Air Mail letters on your meter. The meter prompts you to enter a destination country name. Please note the meter pricing includes GST at 10%, so differs from the over the counter pricing for international letters, which do not include GST.

Seasonal Greeting Cards
- Minimum Lodgement quantity: 1 letter.
- During November and December greeting cards marked card only can be sent by both Domestic and international services at a reduced rate. This pricing is available on your meter.
