Move Update Standard

• New Move Update standards took effect Nov. 23, 2008.
• Mailers must use addresses updated with a USPS-approved Move Update option within 95 days prior to mailing date.
• Includes all Standard Mail® and automation-rate and presort rate First-Class Mail®.
• The USPS will deploy Performance-based Verification to monitor and enforce these standards. Effective January 4, 2010, failure to comply could result in mail delays and added postage.
