UPDATE: Canada Post has announced a postal rate increase for all classes and sizes of letters and some services to affect meters and permanent stamps to take effect on Monday, 13 January 2025.
All meters are required to connect and download latest software update to ensure continued compliance with Canada Post requirements
Some key changes for January 13 2025 rate update:
- Meter price for domestic standard letter (0-30g) will increase to $1.23.
- Stamps purchased at post office or retail outlet will cost $1.44 per single stamp, or $1.24 each if purchased in coil or booklet.
- Price increases for all services, weight breaks, and fees including, Domestic Lettermail™, Incentive Lettermail™, USA and International Letter-post, and Registered Mail, will also come into effect.
The good news - Canada Post continues to offer savings to postage meter users. Savings range from $0.01-$0.55 depending on weight, size, and destination of the letter.
